Upcoming Netflix Movies and Series

Amidst this pandemic, online movie streaming platforms have gained more popularity than before since cinemas have been closed due to social distancing rules. One particular platform in question is Netflix, which has been gaining a lot of popularity a couple of years now and it has reached its peak during this pandemic. Today we are going to look at a list of new movies and TV shows cutting across all genres:

1. Homemade.

Homemade is a collection of short films created by celebrated filmmakers around the world, confined at home as a consequence of the COVID-19 outbreak. Filmmakers created personal moving stories that capture our shared experience of life in quarantine.

This is a celebration of the craftsmanship of filmmaking and the enduring power of creativity in the face of global pandemic.

Homemade streams on June 30th, only on Netflix.

2. Over The Moon.

Fueled with determination and a passion for science, a bright young girl builds a rocket ship to the moon to prove the existence of a legendary Moon Goddess.

This will definitely be an animation worth waiting. Directed by Oscar winning Filmmaker and Animator, Glen Keane, and produced by Gennie Rim and Peilin Chou Starring Cathy Ang, Philipa Soo, Robert G Chiu, Ken Joong, John Cho, Ruthie Ann Miles, Margaret Cho, Kimiko Glenn, Artt Butler and Sandra Oh.

Over The Moon will come to Netflix this fall.

3. Lost Bullet

If you liked Extraction, then you will love this French action move from Guillaume Piorret.

Facing a murder charge, a genius mechanic with a criminal past must track down a missing car containing the proof of his innocence: a single bullet.

4. Cursed (Katherine Langfield)

From Frank Miller and Thomas Wheeler, Cursed is a reimagining of the Arthurian legend told from the perspective of Nimue (Katherine Langfield)

5. Desperados.

A panicked young woman (Nasim Pedrad) and her two best friends (Anna Camp and Sarah Burns) fly to Mexico to delete a ranting email she sent to her new boyfriend. On arrival, they run into her former beau (Lamorne Morris), who soon gets caught up in their frantic scheme.

Desperados also stars Robbie Smell and Heather Graham.

Coming to Netflix on July 3rd.

6. Warrior Nun.

Caught in the middle of an ancient war between good and evil, a young girl wakes up in a morgue with inexplicable powers. Her search for answers brings her to the Order of The Cruciform Sword, a secret society of warrior nuns sworn to protect the world from evil. While juggling her responsibilities as the chosen one with the normal obstacles of a teenage girl, this mysterious fantasy drama is full of mystery, action, adventure and teenage romance, proving our main character might fight in the name of good but she’s no angel.

7. Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

Who does not like musical movies and series. In Eurovision Song Contest, Aspiring musicians (Will Ferrell) and Sigrit (Rachel MacAdams) are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition, they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for.

8. The Old Guard.

Forever is harder than it looks. Led by a warrior named Andy (Charlize Theron), a covert group of tight knit mercenaries with a mysterious inablity to die have fought to protect the mortal world for centuries. But when the team is recruited to take on an emergency mission and their is extraordinary abilities are suddenly exposed, it’s up to Andy and Nile (Kiki Layne) , the newest soldier to join their ranks, to help the group eliminate the threat of those who seek to replicate and monetize their power by any means necessary.

Based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Greg Rucka and directed by Gina Prince – Bythewood (Love and Basketball, Beyond the Lights). The Old Guard is a gritty, grounded action packed story that shows living forever is harder than it looks.
